2021 6'0 PG Imo Essien is turning heads with his play and becoming a hot commodity amongst college programs. The Bishop Lynch guard plays with poise and a feel for the game that you just can't teach. Essien is a floor general who is phenomenal in pick and roll, sees the game two plays ahead and can score when needed.

Essien currently holds offers from UNT and UIW along with interest from several other programs. He's coming off of a fantastic showing at the Fall GASO which has generated a lot of buzz with scouts and college coaches.

Bishop Lynch has ramped up their schedule this year as they will participate in the Elite 14, Nike Thanksgiving Hoopfest and The Whataburger Invitational. The schedule will give Essien the opportunity to solidify himself as one of the top point guard prospects in the state. Based on his play through the summer and what I observed at The Next Wave I expect him to have a HUGE season attempting to lead his Bishop Lynch team to a TAPPS State Title.
