Grand Prairie vs. Waxahachie was a BATTLE last night. Two of the best 6A teams in the state took center stage last night in a 7-6A matchup with playoff seeding on the line.

The stars all came out to play last night in what was a back and forth battle early. Waxahachie ran away late and came out on top 68-51.

Waxahachie had a very balanced effort receiving production from all four of their stars.

2020 5'11 G BJ Francis had it going early for Waxahachie. He went on a personal 10-0 run in the second quarter and finished with 23 points in the win.

2021 6'3 G CJ Noland really picked it up in that decisive fourth quarter for Waxahachie. He was good all the way around and finished with 19 points in the win.

2021 6'4 G Jalen Lake played the best overall game I've seen from him. He facilitated, scored, rebounded and played excellent defense finishing with four blocks. Always known as a sniper he showed last night he's a complete player.

2020 5'9 G AJ Russ knocked down some crucial jumpers when the game was still for the taking for either side. He played excellent on ball defense as well.

Grand Prairie starts shined last night as well

2020 6'7 F Donald Ghostone III was very good last night. The Texas A&M Commerce signee knocked down shots form all over the floor, scored in the paint and rebounded.

2020 6'3 G Jaylin Posey couldn't get in a real groove due to foul trouble. He was still able to put his imprint on this game. He scored from all three levels and rebounded like a mad man. The SFA signee will be a perfect fit for the Lumberjacks.
