Top 2021 Texas Prospects Without an Offer To Date Series

By Kellen C. Buffington, 04/20/20, 9:30AM CDT

With summer basketball on pause a I am focusing on some of the top 2021 prospects in Texas without an offer to date.

We continue our series today with a few of the top 2021 guards in Texas.

2021 6'4 Plano West G Chase Ross

Chase is one of the most athletic players in the state regardless of class. The strong bodied two guard attacks the basket off the bounce and when he gets two feet in the paint there is normally a poster that follows. He shoots the three ball well and has the potential to be a big time defender due to his length, body and athleticism. Chase's recruitment was set to take off in April.

2021 6'3 Ft. Worth YMLA 6'3 G D'Monyae Davis

Monyae has special physical tools. The long, wiry PG with a tight handle, freakish athleticism and court vision is a secret to many. Not us though, we've seen him and we've seen enough to put him in the conversation as one of the top point guard prospects in the state for 2021. He plays with pace, high IQ and will finish above the rim in traffic. Special prospect who had a chance to shock the world this April.

2021 5'10 Wylie HS G Eli Taylor

Eli was in the midst of leading his Wylie HS team to a 6A State Championship when the season was cut short. The shifty playmaking point guard has played at the 17U level since 8th grade. His ability to consistently break down the defense and make plays for himself and others is second to none. His on ball defense is what makes him special. Eli is a ball hawk who is a defensive playmaker as well. Eli was playing some of his best basketball and was trending up headed into the April live period.
